Jatamansi Oil

Jatamansi
oil is obtained through stem distillation of dried rhizomes of
Nardostachys grandiflora, a perennial member of the Valeriananceae
family. The plant, which grows in the wild to heights of up to
two feet, is found on the rocky ledges and open slopes of the
Himalayas at altitudes between 10,000 to 16,500 feet.
